I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
